RIBEIRA SACRA, A MAGICAL PLACE

Description

Thematic and personalized Tours for small groups

Just few places have the ability to surprise in such a way as this part of Galicia crossed by the rivers Sil and Miño. Here the greatest heritage of Romanesque buildings in Europe are concentrated; its breathtaking landscape, marked by deep valleys and canyons, on which viewpoints are settled with amazing views and the rooted culture of wine, called heroic viticulture, because of the distribution of the vineyards on terraces to save the slope of the field. All this will make us wish to come back soon.

We will start our tour with a visit to a Pazo, where we will make contact with Ribeira Sacra, and know about its traditions and culture. During a visit to a wine cellar, located in an authentic viewpoint over Ribeira Sacra, we will enjoy both, the tasting of the wine and the impressive views. We will also go and visit a real example of Romanesque art, the church belonging to the Mothers Bernardas Monastery at Ferreira de Pantón.

In the afternoon, we will continue our beautiful tour along the banks of the river Sil till reaching the spectacular Santo Estevo Monastery being an enormous building hidden amongst centennial chestnuts where at present, after a long restoration, becomes one of the most beautiful Paradores de Turismo.
