Description

Ourense the capital city of the only Galician province that lacks sea coast was an important gateway in the roman times. The three most important spots are: The Roman bridge, The Cathedral and its Portico del Paraíso which recalls the Portico of Santiago’s Cathedral. The “Burgas”, unique thermal springs.
The Sil Canyon is located in the “Ribeira Sacra”, area comprised of high plateaus and mountains with gentle slopes that give way abruptly to the water of the River Sil. Stop at the top of the canyon with numerous natural viewpoints ‘hanging’ over the river. Ideal places to contemplate an impressive and beautiful landscape.
