Head for Betanzos, a town located in the region of As Mariñas, which was once the commercial center of a rich thriving valley that supplied the city center of a rich, thriving valley that supplied the city of A Coruña with wheat and other products.
The town is an extraordinary showcase of medieval architecture. We continue on our way to A Coruña, the capital of the province, a prosperous coastal city. Located in a peninsula, it is divided into three areas: the Historic City, a beautiful monumental complex; the city center, known as Pescadería, and the modern city, the Ensanche. In the afternoon drive back to Santiago de Compostela.
