HALF DAY PAZOS & GARDENS ARROUND SANTIAGO (20 KM AWAY)

“Pazos”, (large manor houses), standing solemn and elegant like feudal lords, with their sturdy stone walls, with the pride of their coat of arms, are popular civil constructions. Those manor houses are mostly surrounded by extensive gardens and parks. This excursion takes you to visit two of them;

Pazo de Oca dates from the mid-fifteenth century. Two different types of gardens can be seen in the estate. The horticultural garden and the geometric garden which is composed of exceptional flowerbeds, where camellias stand out along the beautiful walks. Later we will visit the garden which belongs to the Pazo de Santa Cruz and were created between 1500 and 1700 and include over 200 plant varieties, some of them centuries old. Drive back to Santiago.
