Description
The lighthouses Tour follows along “Costa da Morte” passing through some of the capes from Malpica to Camariñas, giving us the opportunity to discover incredible and beautiful landscapes and landforms. This part of Galician coast surrounded by a sea sometimes calm and sometimes rough achieved not in vain the nickname of “Costa da Morte”.
In this area, static and watchful lighthouses arise; being faithful guides of sailors and mute testimonies of tragic shipwrecks which enhanced a lot of stories and legends about pirates and flotsam. We will be informed about all of this by our guide.
A stop will be made at typical fishing villages where we can observe the daily life of Galician people.
Apart from the main activity of this coast, fishing and shellfish gathering, remain throughout the time, traditional handicraft such as pottery and lace work traditionally made by women.
Outstanding visits: Punta Nariga, Laxe and Vilán Lighthouses.
Artisans: Pottery at Buño and Lacing works at Camariñas
