TRIP THROUGH LUGO AND ITS PROVINCE

Lugo is the oldest capital of Galicia. It was founded 2000 yeras ago by Romans and in proof of this stands the Roman Walls surrounding the old town.

In its province you can go through the Cantabrian coast, A Mariña Lucense with the magical “Playa de las Catedrales” where the rocks adopt odd and sinuous shapes, forming natural caves;A Terra Chá, (lowland) as the name refers, is the exception to the typical Galician landscape; The Sierra Os Ancares and O Courel where you can discover great and dense indigenous vegetation as the Ribeira Sacra, whose name comes from the numerous Monasteries you can find there along the River Miño banks; and finally is to mention, the Way to St. James going across the province.

Lugo seems to be strange for most of tourists but it puts up very interesting and lovely places.
